About The Foundation

The Ferndale Public Schools Foundation is a private, 501c3 nonprofit charity, formally recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service. The organization was founded in the spring of 2023.

The Foundation is a separate, fully independent organization from the Ferndale School District. Its aim is to partner with similarly minded community members, local businesses and corporations to financially support Ferndale students and student centered causes.

Our Mission
The Ferndale Public Schools Foundation removes financial barriers so students can soar.
Values Statement
We work with the Ferndale School District to help all students succeed, regardless of their background or financial situation. We are committed to empowering all students to reach their full potential.
Who We Are
The Foundation is a passionate alliance of community partners united by the shared belief in making education accessible to all.
Who We Serve
We partner with the Ferndale School District to meet the needs of students to ensure their success. We seek to understand our community’s growing, diverse population and want to empower all students to soar not only while attending our schools, but beyond. We believe in the capacity for all students to reach their full potential, and we want to alleviate some of the financial burden.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, gender identity or expression, sex, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, or genetic information in our programs or activities.

What We Do
The Foundation collaborates with individual donors, philanthropic entities, and corporate sponsors who hold public education in high regard. Through these partnerships, we alleviate financial barriers that might otherwise hinder full engagement of students and families. This is achieved through three fundamental initiatives:
Scholarships

Student Fee Relief

As we create the long-term infrastructure of our organization to sustainably eliminate financial barriers for students, we are thankful for the Ferndale School District's assistance in helping us plant a firm foundation. The District has been a steadfast partner in setting us up for success. This investment will yield benefits for our students now and into the future when our operations are fully funded and no longer reliant on a volunteer to lead the organization's executive functions.
