Our Mission
The Ferndale Public Schools Foundation removes financial barriers so students can soar.
Land Acknowledgement
We the members of the Ferndale Public Schools Foundation Board acknowledge we are residing on the traditional, ancestral lands of the Lummi People, who are the original inhabitants of Washington's northernmost coast and southern British Columbia.
Since time immemorial, the Lummi People, also known as the Lhaq’temish People and Salmon People, have celebrated life on these lands and waterways, that we currently know as Whatcom County, Ferndale and the Nooksack River.
We acknowledge the difficult past and present while we continue to build relationships of understanding and compassion to exemplify what a caring community looks like.
While some of us on this Board have deep family ties with Ferndale, some of us are newer to the area, and with this simple act of acknowledgement, we wish to honor our friends and neighbors as well as their ancestors as the original inhabitants of this land.
